BREAKING NEWS: Our breeder friend, Debbi Sanzo-Davis at Bay Area Cockapoos has moved some of the Cockapoo puppies born in April in Fresno, to her home in Castro Valley. We’re hoping they’ll find their new forever families soon now that people won’t have to drive as far to adopt them. Only two are left! Go to Bay Area Cockapoos website for up-to-date photos of these puppies
Pele & Eli [for photo and profile, click on "Our Poos"] had an unexpected litter on June 9. The one female available has one of the most striking blue merle tuxedo coats we’ve seen – even more beautiful than her mother. And she is also showing early signs of being just as smart as her sire. Note to Bay Area residents: We will be in San Francisco Aug. 4, 5 and 6 and could deliver Penelope at that time (or any of Rusty’s available puppies).

Vanna and Eli [for photo and profile, click on "Our Poos"] had 5 puppies on June 18: 4 females (black, black & tan phantom, blue merle and buff) remain. Deposits are now being accepted for these toy Cockapoos. Note to Orange County residents: We will be in the area on Aug. 21-22 and can make arrangements to deliver puppies that weekend.
Check out the pups at play on You Tube.

Our Eli also sired a litter of two males and two females on June 12 with a cute female named Trinity, who lives in Nevada at the newly-ACC registered Las Vegas Cockapoos. Trinity is the daughter of Stew’s Poos’ Romeo and is a chocolate parti. Her puppies will be ready for new homes Aug. 7.

My BFF and partner, Rusty Nelson, of Central California Cockapoos in Fresno, has several litters that are available now and coming up in the next few weeks. Summer vacation is the perfect time to adopt a puppy, while the children are home and can bond with the new family member and learn the responsibilities that go along with having a dog.

If you’ve scrolled down this far, you’re in for a special treat. Look at these beautiful litters recently born at Rusty’s. They’ll be available in August and September. This is their first public appearance.

Rusty also has a few older puppies — from age 15 weeks up to 6 months — who still need loving, forever homes. Their prices have been reduced. E-mail stewspoos@me.com with questions or for photos of those pups.

Our puppies are raised in our home underfoot. They are played with, handled daily and well socialized by the time they are ready to go to their new homes. They are also introduced to other dogs in the home, to our cat and to our friends.
Cockapoo puppies can vary in size. Our first generation parent ‘Poos weigh 12-to-18-pounds, but the larger Cocker Spaniel genes can sometimes produce slightly larger adult dogs. Second and third generation dams are bred to smaller males and the result are smaller third and fourth generation puppies.
Our veterinarian, Dr. Vicki Boyer of Kernville, removes dewclaws when the pups are three days old. We do not dock their tails. Litters are introduced, at three weeks old, to a top quality puppy food: Nutro Max. They also start learning to use “piddle pads” (instead of our carpet?) when they have to potty. We purchase small toys for the puppies as their mobility increases. They sleep and play with these toys and each will take a toy to their new homes, so they will be comforted by the familiar scents of their mother and siblings.
All puppies will be registered with the American Cockapoo Club. Proof of the parent dogs´ registration with OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals), along with copies of the parents´ pedigrees, including available AKC-registration numbers will be provided to new owners. Our parent dogs have their eye exams, as recommended by CERF (Canine Eye Registry Foundation), however, we no longer register them with the organization since they have adopted the discriminatory policy of charging a higher fee for “hybrid” breeds.
We order crates, toys and grooming supplies from a company that sells to groomers, breeders and pet shops and so we are able to order these necessities at a considerable discount from pet store prices. We offer new families a puppy starter package for $100 (starter crate, bed, food & biscuits, brush, comb, nail scissors, shampoo, piddle pads, harness, leash, toys and more). E-mail us at stewspoos@gmail.com for more information about everything that is included.
Our pups are sold with a one year warranty stating that they are free of genetic life-threatening physical defects which would interfere with their ability to be a good pet or cause great expense. Also, within five days of your bringing your new puppy home, if the dog is not found to be sound and in good health (worms and parasites excepted) by your veterinarian, you may return the dog for a full refund.
Prices for our second generation ‘Poo pups start at $850. Third generation pups run approximately $100 more, etc. Notice will go out to those on our waiting list after the pups are born. Those still interested should either telephone or e-mail and let us know. At that time, a non-refundable, 20 percent deposit is requested, which will be deducted from the total cost of the dog.
